A personal blog featuring essays, anecdotes, and opinion pieces, from the perspective of an American-born-and-raised Filipina millenial.

2016                      Raised Pinay  [official website]

A community theater production centering Filipina voices and narratives through personal stories on womanhood, cultural upbringing, and heritage. Proceeds of the show went towards Roots of Health (Ugat Ng Kalusugan), a non-profit organization that provides health services and education to families in Palawan, Philippines.

Internship and Extra-Curricular Activities

2015                   Author Events Intern, Asian American Writers’ Workshop

Assisted in publicity efforts for author events and discussion panels; handled event logistics, (book orders, A/V releases, and merchandise sales); prepared, set up, and recorded video and audio at events; archived photos, video, and audio for distribution on AAWW website and social media platforms.

2014-2015         President, English Majors Club at Hunter College

Set weekly agendas for club meetings; consulted with executive officers and club advisors on member activities and student outreach; organized and publicized events for students and professors of the English department.

2014                   Treasurer, The Olivetree Review

Managed the finances and budgeting of the literary arts journal; managed intra- and inter-office communications with regards to production and finances.

2012-2013         Associate Editor, The Olivetree Review

Conducted, transcribed, and edited interviews with published writers for publication; reviewed prose and poetry submissions with senior staff editors.
